The frustration and pain of dealing with the mothership--Wipro--was excrutiating. It was a failed experiment. The intentions seemed great. They attracted so many good, talented people that were sold a dream. It did not materialise. Supposedly a team with autonomy. While this was partially true, in practise it mattered not. Unable to sell ourselves and with no sales people (in the parent company) that knew who or what we were and what we could accomplish, we couldn't get any good engagements where we could shine. There was no incentives to sell us. Instead of a leading transformational organisation we were sold as just more "bums on seats". In the end while many were made redundant there was a complete disregard for any sort of humanity. Wipro is just a terrible company to work for. When Covid came and so many companies were able to show what they were made of... Well, Wipro did show what they were made of. And, it wasn't nice. No heart. No humanity. Trying to cheap out at every chance. Trying to get away with anything they could to save a £1. And, lying. A lot of lying.

Management is ridiculous, they make inane decisions and know nothing of the work. The deals they make with the contracted companies puts the agents in a bad spot and makes the goals unattainable. The team leads they promote have no management experience or training and they talk to their team in a very disrespectful manner. HR is a joke, they only sit and gossip with the team leads and already shoot you down when you go to them with issues. The building is infested. There is a clear divide between the agents and managers with their attitudes.
