At the time I worked at Wolt Serbia, it was a healthy environment with respectful hires and an okay salary given the circumstances in our country in given period.

Cons

Second shift (basically until midnight) could be a downside for someone.

Delivering for wolt

Pros

The role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing drivers to work around personal commitments or other jobs. Requirements are minimal—reliable transportation, a smartphone, and eligibility to work—making it accessible for many. Earnings vary based on delivery volume, peak hours, and customer tips, with potential for increased income during high-demand periods. The job suits those who prefer physical activity over sedentary work, providing time outdoors and opportunities to familiarize oneself with different areas of a city. Interactions are brief, focused on efficient pickups and drop-offs, and the app streamlines navigation and order management. Drivers operate independently, without direct oversight, and some regions offer performance-based incentives. For those seeking a low-barrier, adaptable side job with practical benefits, it can be a viable option

Cons

Income can be inconsistent, heavily reliant on demand, weather, and location—slow days or oversaturation of drivers may reduce earnings. Expenses like fuel, vehicle maintenance, or bike repairs cut into profits, which riders must cover themselves. No employment benefits (health insurance, paid leave, retirement plans) common in traditional jobs. Physical strain from constant cycling/driving, especially in harsh weather, may lead to fatigue or long-term wear on the body. Customer ratings impact opportunities, with low scores potentially limiting access to orders. Navigating traffic, parking, or difficult addresses can add stress, particularly in dense urban areas. Limited job security, as accounts can be deactivated abruptly for policy violations or low performance metrics. App dependency means technical glitches or connectivity issues may disrupt work. While flexible, the role suits those comfortable with unpredictability and self-managing costs/risks.
