The coworkers are for the most part highly educated, highly motivated professionals. The projects are Interesting and involve a lot of field travel

Cons

The main downside is the bureaucratic hassle and the not so meritocratic promotion system at times. Politics also plays too much of a role.

Cons

Big organization, you need to figure out what you want to do and achieve and communicate with your supervisor. JPA is a two year term and you have to leave afterwards, this is very bad, because I love people I work with and my job. :(
