      Many benefits and strong opportunities for professional growth

      Cons

      Depending on the department, you may not be as lucky with managers/leads. Unfortunately, I wasn’t—I really didn’t like what I was doing (developed a system to send spam/promo to the users). I was also unlucky because I didn’t have a mentor when I was assigned as the on-call person to monitor a complex system that was largely unfamiliar to me

      Great products and a strong pace but growth can be challenging

      Pros

      One of the best parts was the opportunity to work on genuinely exciting products and ship real value. The environment is fast-paced and ambitious, and you can learn a lot quickly. That said, the intensity can be hard to sustain long-term, and career progression beyond a certain level may feel limited.

      Cons

      Work–life balance can be difficult. Career growth may feel capped at higher levels (a “glass ceiling” effect) — it becomes more noticeable when you start competing for leadership-level opportunities.
