I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Bolton, England) in Feb 2020
Interview
All go to Bolton UK. Look through a range of CV's and review them as a group. Talk about favourite Aldi product. Asked a number of competency based questions. They wanted to see how we interacted as a team and collectively devised solutions.
The assessment center started with everyone giving a brief introduction about themselves. The first task was giving a 2 minute presentation about a randomly allocated topic they give you, you have 10 minutes to prepare and you can use your phone if you want to do any research. The second task involved reviewing candidate profiles to see which would be the most suitable for the job. Everyone had 1 minute to explain who they thought was best, which was followed by a group discussion and then a presentation to the assessor. The day was roughly 2/3 hours with a short break in between the tasks.

Question 1
Give a presentation on the people of Aldi (staff and customers)
Fairly rigorous, but fair. All testing stages seemed difficult, but reasonable questions were asked. First online tests of multiple sorts, then online automated video interview (HkreVue or similar), followed by a day long assessment centre.
