ALDI Store Assistant interview questions

Initial online tests comprised a pesonality type multiple choice test, followed by a multiple choice test on what you would be most / least likely to do in certain situations. Invited to interview just over a week later. Interview: I was asked to wait at the packing area at the front of the store. I was then led through to a small staff canteen where the interview took place. There was only one interviewer: one of Aldi's Area Managers. The questions were quite simple: tell me about yourself, why do you want to work in retail, what do you know about Aldi, what would your ideal number of hours per week be, etc.

My original application was submitted on the 17th October 2017. Four days later I received an email inviting me to an 'Individual Assessment' with a link to follow to choose a day and time slot from the Aldi website; the latter included locations of other Aldi's in addition to the location of the store applied for, for the appointment. On the day of the appointment (31 October) I received an email from Aldi saying the Area Manager was ill and a new appointment email would be sent out to me. I received the latter two days later and arranged for the 'Individual Assessment' on Sunday 19th November 12:15pm. I arrived half an hour earlier and was shown by a member of staff (who I had asked in-store) to the staff room. The interview eventually took place with the Area Manager 10-15mins later than the time given above and was about 12 minutes long (5 minutes of which were taken up by the Aldi Paper Test). After the paper test, the Area Manager concluded by saying I would receive an email within 2 days letting me know whether I would be invited for the 'Aldi Experience' training day at one of their stores.
