ALDI Store Assistant interview questions

I applied online for the position of a Store Assistant. Heard back pretty quickly and was invited to a group assessment. This was my first time doing an interview, ever, so it being a group assessment got me worried even more so. Upon arriving, there was about 20 of us, with the heavy majority being female. We waited and chatted a bit between ourselves before being instructed to head into a big meeting room where we'd get to meet the manager. She gave a brief introduction of herself and described the role and who they are looking for. Then she just asked each one of us to tell her about ourselves. Once this was done, we were given an airplane crash survival island scenario where we were given a list of items that we had with us and had to rank them in order of importance, while working in our group seeing that we were split in 2 groups. Once this was done, we were able to leave.

Applied online where I had to do some tests, nothing difficult, just some basic math, situational questions and checking you can read barcodes correctly etc. I received an email around 2/3weeks later and was asked to come in for a one to one interview with the area manager in 2 weeks time. The interview lasted 25 minutes and consisted of some typical interview questions; why do you want to work for Aldi? What do you know about Aldi? Tell us a bit about yourself. The interviewer delved into my work history a bit and asked some competency based questions based on the skills that I have. Make sure you do some research on the company as it will come up. As I was leaving the store I received an email inviting me to a 2 hour store experience the following week. There were 2 of us on the work trial and we had to do some health and safety forms with the store manager who then asked us a bit about ourselves and whether we were happy with the hours and shift patterns. After that we were put to work unloading crates of produce and shown how they like to have their stock displayed followed by a quick chat at the end. We were told that we would find out in the next couple of days if we were successful and 20minutes after leaving the store the area manager called to offer me the job! The whole application to job offer stage took around 6 weeks.
