Group Assessment: I was called in for a group assessment. There were 2 other people interviewing with me there. Another girl and I were assessed about a store assistant role, and the other guy was assessed for another position. We were asked to introduce ourselves, talk about our experience, and why we wanna work for Aldi. We were then asked to prioritise some tasks as group, and explain our choices. There is no wright or wrong in this one, you just have to be able to explain the choice. Finally we were given a simple math quiz to evaluate our skills, however none of us had the time to finish it. The deputy manager said that we would soon get an email to either invite us for a store assessment, or to let us know that we were unsuccessful. I am just waiting to see what happens.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about yourself, what you know about Aldi, why you want to work for Aldi, provide a fun fact about yourself.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Canterbury, England) in Aug 2016
Interview
Very straightforward, few scenario questions, make sure you know some Aldi background. Given a 2 hour store experience to see if you like the job. Was all done very professionally and was a pleasant interview. Make sure you do your research on the company as this will be a question they ask.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Preston, North West England, England) in Sep 2016
Interview
Applied online, did a few tests, and was then invited to be interviewed in store. Interview was fairly informal with an area manager. Apart from a maths and a situations test. Where she read out various scenarios and you respond on how you deal with them.
Was then offered a job via phone call, but in a store miles away from the one I applied for, and was told there was not any opportunities there anymore. I could have easily been told this before or during interview. Then said I would think about it, and they said I would be called back. But never received the phone call. Very frustrating and unprofessional.
