I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ASDA (Grimsby, England) in May 2021
Interview
Small informal discussion common sense questions regarding company policy and customer service. Few simple scenarios. Only involved the store manager, no other people were present. Went on the shop floor to meet colleagues and see what I would be doing.
Felt casual and quite informal wasn’t asked too many questions wasn’t too bad told me about shift times, what to expect. Training is unpaid so that’s a bit of a let down and you don’t know how long you will be training for
I interviewed at ASDA (Blyth, North East England, England)
Interview
I applied online and was contacted within a week to attend a group interview at my local store. The process was straightforward and well-organised. The session lasted about a quarter of an hour, which consisted of a short chat with two managers.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. It seemed like they were mostly looking for enthusiasm, teamwork, and a basic understanding of customer service. No technical questions or formal assessments were involved.
