ASDA interview questions

Application via CV, phone call and then invited for an interview at the head office with two managers. Reason for not being chosen was "no large office recent experience", this was disappointing as I believe that they could have viewed this on my CV as I was returning to full time work after raising my children. Previously I had worked for BT as a new recruits trainer and always kept busy learning new skills and updating my existing skills since having children.

I applied online following a questionnaire and I didn’t hear anything for two weeks. I got a phone call at lunch time to come in for an interview the day after. I went to back, where the staff canteen was and we were all talking. They were running late but it was fine. We went into the room and had to find our names on badges on tables. We had to follow this sheet and ask questions on the person across from us on a table. Then we had to make a product making sure a teacake was secure and we had to sell it to the rest of the groups. We had to buy objects from the head checkout Operator. The staff tested it afterwards, to see if it worked. We were told that was over and done with for today, we got told we would get a phone call if we passed the first stage. If you didn’t get a phone call, you didn’t get through. The people in my group all got emails a week in advance, while I just had a day to prepare. I got a phone call two hours later to say I got to the interview stage! I had a interview with the head checkout lady and I learned. That there was two spots and five people were competing for it. I got told I would get a phone call if I passed and got it but I didn’t but if you make it to the interview stage. You get put to the backup list if anything goes wrong or if they needed extra help for six months.
