I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Telford, England) in Sep 2016
Interview
Filled in the online form then got an email to attend an Asda Magic event.
Arrived on the day make sure to take ID with you or you will be turned away!
1 main manager and 2 observers in the room there was 8 of us.
They introduced themselves and then we played a game called people bingo where you had to go round asking others set questions until someone got a full house.
We were then split into teams and had to come up with an idea for raising funds etc for an after school club.
Next we all got into a circle and was asked what your fav tree was and why, what did you like/dislike about autumn , and what was your fav thing about asda
after that we was sent out into the store to look for changes going on as they were moving from summer to winter stock.
Also had to do a hazard perception test on the pc (think theory test)
that was part 1
Part 2 I had a phone call asking me to come in for have a go, a driving assessment and a 1v1 interview
this was much more laid back than I excepted I was driving a van from 2.30 till around 5 doing delivers with the assessor he was just looking for things like road position using mirrors etc .
the 1v1 interview was formal enough and pretty standard stuff!
Still waiting to find out if I have been successful

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ASDA (Tamworth, England) in Sep 2014
Interview
First you get invited to an assessment where you are made to do stupid things. Found the assesssment itself quite cliquey. managers seemed to already have favourites. Told there were lots of temp jobs going, told different later. If you pass the Assessment they still mess you about by making you attend another interview, where the game changes and they say they have either no vacancies or few with a poor shift pattern. You then get an email two hours after this second interview which you cant reply to telling you you have not been successful.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Cumbernauld, Schottland) in Sep 2016
Interview
I applied online and the application featured a numerical test, an aptitude test and a scenario test. I received an email inviting me to the magic assessment a week after I had applied. There were 7 other people at the magic assessment and 4 employees. We all had to get in a circle and arrange each other in order of how far we had travelled. Then we split in to pairs and asked our partner a series of questions and then relayed that information back to the rest of the group. Next we worked as a group and had to pick summer stock while adhering to a budget and theme. After this we were placed into different pairs and taken to a section of the store and asked to check how well displayed it was and to see if there was anything missing or hard to find. We were then given interview times for the next day and we all left. At the interview, it was more like a review. We went through how I did at the magic assessment and then asked what shifts I would be able to work. I then was offered the job and was taken to 'have a go' around the store.
