I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Bideford, England) in May 2016
Interview
Very informal. There were 13 of us all together, we had to go through one or two group tasks (I felt they were very patronising). Then we each had an individual interview that lasted roughly 15 minutes. Lastly we had 20 minutes on the shop floor filling out a questionnaire. The whole process lasted 2 and a quarter hours.

I was asked to attend the asda "magic" group interview, it was a great experience, 6 of us was there and we had to do some great things, first of all we had to ask the person next to us 4 questions and then use those answers to introduce them to the group, then we had a tour of the place, followed by another activity where my group had to make a handbag out of a paper plate some paper clips, 2 elastic bands, a piece of paper, a marker pen and 6 balloons, the other group had to make a hat, then the group was allowed to ho all except those who applied to be drivers we had to go and complete a risk assessment on a pc, fail this and you cannot get a driving job, after that i was sent home to recieve a call 5 hours later asking me back.

Interview
The interview process (for such a basic roll) is long. It's over 2 days then over a further 2 days I'd you 'pass' the first stage and then a further interview with line manager. You are paid for it though. Too much information crammed in, expected to do a test about it and everyone failed. Then they just give you answers lol. Rather pointless.
