Pay has got lowered. It was possible to make more in the past. I think since the union got involved it has had a negative impact. I miss the good old days
Two part interview process with local management followed by a panel interview with additional local management team. Not difficult at all, but they are looking for the right answers and a money. Hungry attitude period background check in drug test is required.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (North Palm Beach, FL) in Jul 2023
Interview
I applied for the role in early June and completed a one-way video interview. After passing that, I was scheduled for a one-on-one interview, which turned out to be a panel interview with two AMs. One asked the questions while the other observed silently in the background. To add to the frustration, they were over twenty minutes late, raising the first red flag. Initially, the interview seemed to be going well based on the questions and my responses. They repeatedly expressed how I would be the "perfect" fit for the role. They acknowledged their severe understaffing and hinted at hiring multiple people. I even inquired about their metrics and the challenges they faced, providing positive answers that resonated with them. However, the final question completely derailed the interview: "How would you respond if we informed you that you weren't selected for the role?" Their intention was to assess if I would "fight" for the position. As a former hiring manager, I can confidently say that this approach is highly unprofessional and leaves candidates feeling like they wasted their time regardless of your intention. That was the second red flag. Initially, I was told that I would receive a decision during that week. However, after two weeks of being ignored by the AM despite reaching out multiple times, I finally received an email stating that I was not being moved forward. Considering this is a telecommunications company, their failure to follow up with candidates or personally inform them of their decision raises yet another red flag, bringing the total to three. In hindsight, I believe I avoided a problematic role, and I strongly discourage anyone from applying for this position or similar ones within this company. They will undoubtedly waste your time and disappear once the interview is over.
