I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Aurora, IL) in Jul 2012
Interview
Recieved an email a few weeks after completing the online application and test, received a phone call in which I got told to show for a 1 on 1 interview with the HR manager, the manager was enthusiastic and told me that I was definitely going to hear from him. Heard from him the next day, got scheduled for a second interview with a store manager, the manager wasn't there, I had to speak with the assistant manager, he seemed even more enthusiastic and super positive, a few days later I turned down another job offer because I was sure this was going to work out. After one week I send an email to hear from them, turns out I didn't get accepted and I know why. The hiring process and job positions in the Chicago suburb area is extremely Hispanic, everyone that I spoke with was Hispanic, hiring manager, store manager and when I was in the store I noticed most sales agents were Hispanic. If you're not Hispanic, it doesn't matter how good and how much professional you are, they will discard you just because you don't speak Spanish. Don't waste your time.

How did you handle a though situation in which a customer wasn't satisfied?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T in Jun 2012
Interview
I went for the ATT Customer Service Assistant testing and was one of the few that passed the testing. During the pretesting meeting, we were shown a brief video of proper dress codes.
I arrived 10 minutes early for the interview and waited for her to come from her office. As I waited, employees were coming in for their shifts looking like they just crawled out of bed. Sweatpants, flip flops, completely unappropriate attire for work. When the HR Manager met me, the first thing she said to me was “Once we are done here, don’t come back here looking for any information on your application status, as when you leave here we are done.” I am thinking, if she has already decided this before the interview, then why not just tell me to leave. I answered all her questions professionally and respectfully. She ended the interview and walked out leaving me sitting at the table. About a week later received an email thanking me for my time, but I was not qualified to work there due to my interview.
