I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Middletown, NJ) in May 2010
Interview
The interview process can be lengthily. if you know some one in the company it really helps. Usually a phone interview or 2 before a face to face interview. Since I was being brought back into AT&T after being outsourced to IBM the process was very easy for me but I suspect for someone outside it would be harder.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Lod)
Interview
I had two technical interviews with different people where I had to describe some of my previous work. Both times I said the same thing. I don't recall getting a problem to solve.
I had one HR interview, which was like undergoing a secret police interrogation, with cross-examinations in an effort to evaluate the truth of my statements.
I was totally off the mark regarding my assessment of the work culture, which turned out to hinder discussion. To get heard you had to simply shout.
The interviewer mostly focused on the job being offered, asking if I were willing to work different hours and days of the week. I was also tested for my ability to organize lists of names and numbers quickly and efficiently.

I recall being asked if I had a problem with being the rare man working with many women. I explained I had no such problem.
