I applied through college or university. I interviewed at AT&T (College Station, TX) in Nov 2012
Interview
Interview setup through a campus job listing. Very laid-back interview with 2 of their department reps. Asked some questions, but seemed to let the conversation go to where they or I was interested in discussing. They were interested to know why I would like to work for their company, and also why the particular department. They explained different specializations within the department and asked about my interest among those. There were no technical questions. Both interviewers were friendly.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Durham, NC) in Sep 2009
Interview
The process is very honest and straight forward. HR is candid and is never misleading. I found value in what they told me and the working environment was just as I had been shown and as I had been lead to believe. Great people. I found the process pleasant and am actually now administering it myself. I was taught and extend the same courtesies I was provided when hired

Question 1
My group (found out later) tends to ask questions until you can't answer them. This is a good thing, but daunting for the interviewee as you end up feeling like you might have failed when in reality they are VERY happy with your performance. This is in and of itself a test, however when under the gun it doesn't feel well, just note it is part of the process and you actually will likely perform very well.
