I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
Applied online and received a screening phone call from a non-AT&T representative. The phone screening consisted of questions about my educational background (GPA, graduation date, etc). After the screening I received an email confirmation for an interview.
The phone interview was conducted by an AT&T rep. and lasted about 35-40mins. All questions were behavioral.
The next step was a webcam interview (which honestly is not as awkward/uncomfortable as I thought). The staffing manager was extremely nice and friendly. Questions were all behavioral again, nearly the same as the phone interview
Difference between B2B Sales and Retail Sales
A time when you had to convince others with your ideas
A time when you had to make an ethical decision, what was the outcome?
Why ATT? why sales?
How would you conduct a cold call?
Obstacle you have had to overcome? Obstacle into a victory (I heard this in both interviews)
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
How do you handle rejection?

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AT&T (New Orleans, LA)
Interview
Was called in for an interview a few days after i applied for the job. Interview was very easy. i had no cell phone experience. they basically just wanted to make sure you knew how to talk to people and were aggressive enough to meet goals.

Question 1
it wasn't very difficult at all. may ask you to sell a pen.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T
Interview
The process is beyond terrible. First apply online. Complete generic behavioral questionnaire. Received a recruiter telephone interview a week later. Standard questions- why customer service? why cell phones/technology? bad customer experiences? why sales? etc Easy questions if you had worked in sales before. "Excellent I will forward on your application to HR". Nothing happened. 6 weeks past. Reapplied for a same position at different location. 2 days later received call from Recruiter telling me I have an interview set up 30 miles away. So I passed the first telephone interview but didn't get a call back. Thanks. Well, its time to see a area Recruiter. Interview went well. Again no curve ball questions. A week later was then invited to interview/shadow at the Retail store I applied too. The manager and assistant manager were ok. It seemed like they both just had their first beer ever and acted goofy. Unprofessional. Other staff kept interrupting interview and they would chat during interview. REALLY! I then went out on the shop floor and watched a rep serve a customer. OMG! He was helping set up a itunes account for a new owner of a ipad. It took him, no lie, 30 mins and he still didn't activate it by the time I left. He created 2 accounts using the wrong email address. Was actually offended that this is the type of people I would be working with. But I felt the meeting went really well otherwise. One week later. Looked up status online. (The only way to see your status! -(what a load of ...) and saw I wasn't selected. I obviously have more than a brain cell and was too talented for the store. I'm still applying to work as a Retail Sales Consultant as it's a good gig and plenty of opportunities to progress but the hiring process is poor.
