I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at AT&T (Redmond, WA) in Apr 2008
Interview
I spent a year working as a contractor in the SDLC arena, so my interview was a formality. I was only asked if I could do the job I was doing, how much I would need to be happy at that job, and if I minded a background and drug test.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Paramus, NJ) in Jan 2008
Interview
Interview process was very smooth. Met with a representative from HR and then several managers of the hiring department. Hiring manager and HR was quick to turn around from interview and make an offer.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at AT&T
Interview
I completed 3 interviews.
All three were about 45 minutes in length. The first 2 were basically behavioral questions- nothing out of the ordinary although they do ask about cold calling, rejection, & sales experiences. The 3rd one is a case presentation- you make a powerpoint and present over the phone a sales pitch. Plus there are some more behavioral & commitment type questions (why at&t, why this position, trying to gather info on if you actually want the position).
Received an offer the next day.

Pretty simple.
