I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (San Angelo, TX) in Oct 2008
Interview
Applied online several times over the course of 3 months. Got a phone interview. During the phone interview he said he would pass my application to the location manager. Was set up with an interview with the location manager. The interview only lasted about 15 minutes. The manager did not go over all of the questions in his little packet before offering me the job. In subsequent interviews for different positions, the interviews lasted longer and were in more depth. I believe my initial interview process was abnormal.

Tell us of a time in your previous retail experience, when you were unable to meet customer satisfaction.
I applied online. I interviewed at AT&T (Redmond, WA)
Interview
I was contacted directly by hiring manager after I sent in my resume. The hiring manager was very friendly. After a brief phone interview, they set up a short loop on site. I met with three people who work in the same group of the role. The questions were all behavior questions, nothing new, like how do you work with another group, how do you solve a conflict, etc.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AT&T (San Ramon, CA) in Oct 2008
Interview
I was contacted by a Hiring Manager to come to Interview. The initial interview was at a hiring fair for AT&T. These are not common. I did a traditional interview with an Area Manager. I was asked to come for a second interview to take the Manager's Test and verbal interview with a Hiring Manager. I was then asked to come in to take the Engineer's Exam.

Question 1
There is nothing like telephony. The most similar thing would be water (pipe) engineering. This interview/exam was from 2000, so things may have changed.
