I applied through an employee referral. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Medina, OH)
Interview
First application I was offered the job. They had to pull the offer bc I worked for cingular and he never put if I was rehirable so I then lost that offer and now have to apply every chance I get. This was the chapel hill store.
Long story short but a manager involved an old boss who legally isnt allowed to speak about me at all per a settlement and that cost me my job
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Fort Myers, FL) in Feb 2019
Interview
Asked rehearsed list of questions that ask about a certain time you did this or that. Doesn’t allow for showing value. Only 5-6 questions that are only moderately fundamental to position. You interview with someone from Human Resources that doesn’t have direct involvement with position. Some positions you interviewed with manager for role but they have little say on who is hiring yet it’s the same process described above.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Wyoming, MI) in May 2019
Interview
So this was bizarre. Months ago, I applied and made it through to the final interview for the Retail Sales position. I thought all went well, but then I got an email saying "We don't have a match." Then the other day I get a phone call out of the blue from Rebecca at the Wyoming, Michigan store saying I passed the initial interview and she would like me to come in for a meeting. I was excited about this second chance and we arranged to meet the next day. Ten minutes later she calls and says something about her Regional Sales Manager has already hired someone and she needs to cancel the interview. Whaaat? Over the past few years I've applied at AT&T several times, and I always make it to the final rounds, until I show up in person and they see that I'm 60+ years old. I would think you'd want to have a more mature gentleman around to speak with some of your customers, and let them know that even us old folks can be technically adept. (If it's NOT age-ism, then please tell me at what point I fail to meet expectations.) I have not applied at Sprint or T-Mobile, for I was hoping to be a sales rep for AT&T, as they have a superior product. But you know what .... If you're just going to get my hopes up again and again, don't call me anymore.
