HR screen, then phone call with manager, then in person interview with manager, then another interview with manager PLUS another district manager (for a second opinion i guess) that was also in person. I gave at least 3 hours total of my time to this interview process. Total waste of time, total disrespect of applicants times. I don’t understand why it had to be so many hours of interviewing. If you don’t know, you wanna hire me within an hour of talking to me, then you have a problem with either being indecisive or just not asking the right questions to know if the person you’re speaking to is someone you actually want to hire. I didn’t even get a formal rejection via phone or email at the end. The second district manager joined on a zoom call, but the first manager still made me come back and meet her in person all for me to sit down in front of her laptop to talk to this second manager virtually, which I thought was stupid. If I ever go back to practicing medicine (I’m a clinician by training. I will never write an abbvie product because of how horrible this experience was and I will actively try and deter others in my practice from using abbvie products if there are similar alternatives available. The second manager also kept trying to stump and his last few questions were “what do you think the manager is looking for in the best candidate and why should we hire you?” I answered both questions as best I could and the second Manager said “the answer to both of those should’ve been exactly the same.“ Totally rude and unnecessary. It’s like he was playing a sadistic game and enjoyed tripping me up. Like I said, total waste of time, it took forever between the four separate interviews/conversations. I had, and didn’t even get a formal rejection.
