I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Adobe in Sep 2013
Interview
No interview at all. The selection was based on an online test which consisted of analytical questions, quant, and basic data structure/algorithm/OOPS concepts. It was quite evident that the selection was done purely on the basis of grades. Some of my co-interns revealed that Adobe offered them the internship without taking any tests. Given that they were the class toppers, the above claim is further bolstered.
The mentor carried a phone interview to talk about research. For research intern, they focus on if your background match their requirements. And then the mentor have the right to decide for an offer.
