I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Shakopee, MN) in Oct 2017
Interview
Overall, both the interview and hiring process were good. The communication throughout the process was there, but it was a mystery about who was going to reach out to you next or who your new point of contact is. My example: For setting up the interview I was give a couple days to pick from. Once I picked a day, my contact said they would personally reach out to me within the next 24-48 hours to give me a firm time for the interview as well as some other helpful information. The next email I got was from a different person, who in turn ended up passing me to a different person, who was different than the person that reached out to me post interview, who was different than the verbal offer, who was different than the final offer. It wasn't a huge deal by any means, and I shared this feedback with the Amazon employee that extended the job offer, but there were a couple times where I didn't know who to direct a question to.
That being said, my questions got answered promptly and everyone that I worked with throughout the process was very happy to help and work with me. The interviewers were fantastic, as well as everyone I got to meet in the facility while touring prior to the interview.
