I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2019
Interview
The interview was straight to the point. Standard walk me through your resume question. Nothing special, felt as if the interviewer had 30+ candidates to interview in one day. It took about 15 minutes for the whole interview.

What is your experience with debugging Search Engine Ads?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Jan 2020
Interview
Mostly a waste of time. I applied online. Two days later received an automated email to schedule a call. Received another automated email confirming call with ______. There were no details as to who I was going to speak with (besides their name), what the general flow of the call would be, nor how long the call would be. There was only mention of the (nauseating) leadership principals, and to review the ‘STAR’ technique. Essentially there was no discovery/preparation call which I found very odd and unprofessional.
Once on the call with the hiring manager (surprise) it was a routine interview, followed by specific behavioral questions. I generally felt like it was a bit of an aggressive first engagement. The behavioral questions were a bit specific and short sighted; as I don’t think the questions being asked matched up to actual job, nor my experience. I knew Amazon asked behavioral questions, but did not expect to dig in to them in my very first interaction. Asking “tell me a time when you... *insert very specific and irrelevant dramatic scenario* “ on the spot and then expecting someone to give (or BS) a super thoughtful response, is not the most effective way to screen candidates, IMO. It’s like they’re testing how toxic and dysfunctional of a career history you’ve to vet that you can handle their toxic mess. Due to the lack of discovery call, hype, screening, and preparation on Amazons part I’m not surprised this interview was pretty mediocre, for all involved.
Overall just a very cold, ineffective, robotic experience. Am not impressed with this company, or their interview process. I’m not surprised to see many others on Glassdoor sharing similar experiences, and the company reviews that confirm it does in fact gets worse if you start working there!
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Jul 2018

Second step Interview with the team manager for about 30 minutes.
