I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Dec 2021
Interview
Funny process. 8 rounds of interviews but they never disclosed the role. Fit with the hiring manager was not there so the whole process was academically interesting, but quite the time waster. May of the interviewers were pleasant.

In addition to technical interviews, you'll likely also participate in behavioral interviews to assess your communication skills, leadership ability, and other non-technical competencies. You may be asked to provide examples of how you've handled challenging situations in the past, or to describe your approach to teamwork and collaboration.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2020
Interview
Amazon's interview process was very structured and done in 4 phases (at least for the Technical Project Manager position). The first three were over the phone and was spread over several weeks starting with the recruiter. It was a brief pre-screening call asking a few details about my experience and responsibilities. The second phone interview was with the manager for position. The first part was more personal in nature with the second half much more technical. Third interview was with another manager. The conversation was much more relaxed and felt more like a gauging for fit but was also technical. Fourth and final interview was a full day, in-person session with multiple panels of 1 or 2 people, each with a set of pre-determined questions related to their Leadership Principles. Questions were read and they'd record your responses.
