I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Mar 2022
Interview
I applied directly on the web. I don’t know exactly hoy long it took but the emailed me saying they were interested in my profile and wanted to schedule an interview.
I had the first interview l with a KAM it was ok. She made a 2 behavioral questions and then the interview was done. That same day I received an email saying that I passed the first interview and was going to move forward in the process. The following was a call with HR that was more of a “tips” kind of call to help me prepare for the loop of interviews that was coming next.
The following steps - the loop - was a full day of interviews (5 in total lasting between 45 to 60 min each)
After 3 days they answered and said even though they liked me and they decided to continue with other candidate.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2021
Interview
I had a phone screen with a recruiter after completing an online assessment. The recruiter misled me (unintentionally, I think) about the scope of the role, which led me to misspeak during the next interview with the hiring manager, which I feel like cost me the role.
AWS and Amazon at large has a very unique, challenging interview process that helps them weed out people just looking for a shiny object. If interviewing for any Amazon subsidiary, be sure to do research on the Leadership Principles (LPs) because they are very real. Though grueling, the questions asked all point towards LPs and challenge you to think about your career and behavioral patterns to make sure you are a fit for Amazon.
