The interview process is based on leadership principles. Each interview will ask few STAR format questions related to the leadership principles. The interviewee should answer the question using the STAR format (its easier for the interviewer to understand). There were usually follow up questions on any of the answers. Amazon provides you with the interview response in 5 days after all interviews are conducted, which I think is great.

The screening interview with HR was about past experience and how my experience is related to the role. Asked why you want to work at Amazon, tell me about related projects to the role
It was a detail interview process with 3-4 phone interviews and a final interview which was 4 hour long. The final interview was with hiring managers, team members, stake holders and bar raiser.
