A hirerview where you answer about 3 questions. A coding assessment where it was in a playground and assessment center. You had a hr interview and then had to describe your code from the second interview
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in May 2024
Interview
It was just a screening with the internal recruiter but I thought it went well although I didn't get the job. She was very nice and made the interview casual.
The recruiter contacted me to ask for my availability and to schedule a screening. At tHe screen the recruiter mentioned that he would get back to me by Wednesday, two days after my screening to sent up an interview. Or to provide follow-up feedback. However, he has since ghosted me its been weeks and has not responded to the emails I sent. I thought American Express was a reputable company, and their lack of communication seems very unprofessional, especially after telling me that I was a great fit for the position.
