Interview
I applied online. They sent me a link to a website on which I was supposed to record myself answering their questions. There were 10 minutes per question. They were HR related. At the end there was a programming challenge, a very easy one. After a few days they invited me to an assessment day, where I had a technical interview about computer architecture and projects on my resume. There were also some exercises in groups meant to allow them to observe our interaction and team working.

Interview
Sent in my resume and a cover letter and received the auto-response fairly quickly afterwards. Didn't hear much until around Christmas time when I received a phone call asking if I had been receiving their emails.. Eek.. I was abroad for a few weeks at the time and they had sent me a few requests for an online interview, all of which I missed. Luckily, they were very understanding and send me a digital interview invite shortly after the call. The interview was pre-recorded and had some C programming questions and some about me and my past experiences. After completing the interview, I again had the automated reply and was back a little in the dark until around the start of February, when I was invited for a final round in person 1-on-1 interview. ARM covered the cost of transport, and because I was travelling from 4hrs+ away, they even arranged and paid for a hotel so I could be there the night before. The interview day had several team-focused exercises in groups of ~5, followed by a 1-on-1 interview after lunch. In the 1-on-1, they focused on what I had mentioned in my CV and resume and had some technical questions for me to complete. Although I stumbled slightly on the first one (was quite nervous), the next few were fine. Finally finishing the day with some more fun team-based challenges. Not a week later, I had my offer and contracts sent through email and post. :D
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In my online interview I had to develop a simple implementation of a C linked list with push and pop capabilities.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Arm (London, England) in Sep 2016
Interview
Telephone interview, very old school, cv walkthrough. No depth to questions, no questions about challenges encountered, personal devlopment etc The interviewer was not structured and did not allow freedom of discussion. My view is that this company needs to follow its products with management style ie enter the modern age.
