I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Avanade in Oct 2011
Interview
I was pre-screened by a recruiter in the Atlanta office who was extremely friendly, as well as helpful in providing tips to improve my interview skills. She guided me toward the appropriate group that matched my skill set and passed me through to the next round, providing valuable information as to the person who would be interviewing me. The second round interview was the complete opposite. The person interviewing me was in Utah and would not be working in ay meaningful capacity with me. She was very short and seems to have written me off before the interview began. The questions were rapid fire, with no feedback provided or discussion afterwards. I was not surprised to get my rejection the next morning. For an entry-level job, they seemed to expect knowledge of the inner workings of their company.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Avanade (Houston, TX) in Oct 2011
Interview
Applied online, networked with on-campus presenter, gave her my resume as well. She forwarded it on, was contacted by the recruiter the next week via email for an initial interview. Basic questions about personality, whether or not you knew what Avanade did, its relationship with its parent company and so on.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Avanade in Oct 2011
Interview
Saw posting on university career website and applied online, was contacted by email a couple weeks after to set up a phone interview. Interviewer called late for first scheduled time and had to reschedule for later that day. Asked mainly about what you know about Avanade and what your dream job is and how Avanade fits in with that. Also made sure you are ok with minimum 80% travel. It got extremely awkward when the interviewer asked what my desired salary is... I said average with my background is 67k and she was extremely inflexible and said they would only pay 50-60k. Set a bad tone for the rest of the interview and received an email the next day saying they wouldn't be moving on with the process.
