After applying online, I received an automated email asking for a personality assessment. The assessment is very thorough with at least 250 questions and a range of available responses. Upon completion, I received a follow-up email requesting that I complete a one-hour online simulation of the job. After the simulation, I was contacted by phone by a corporate recruiter who answered questions about the position and asked basic questions like, "Describe a time when a person was upset with you, how did you know they were upset and what was the outcome?" The recruiter then scheduled a 1:1 interview in-person for the next business day. The recruiter actually gave me question answering tips and advice to help polish my responses and warned that I should expected behavioral questions.
The in-person 1:1 interview was comfortable and felt relatively short. Questions like, "Bank of America promotes a team atmosphere, describe a time when you had to work in a team?" and "Bank of America values its clients, describe a situation where you had to drop everything to assist someone and what was the outcome?" Overall the interview felt more like a conversation and the interviewer was very concerned about availability, not taking time off within the first 6 months, and a strict attendance policy. The interviewer also reviewed Bank of America policy regarding attendance, dress code, and benefits which I had to sign a form acknowledging I had been informed.
Two hours after the interview, I received an email from the corporate recruiter stating that she heard the 1:1 interview had gone very well. Shortly afterward, the recruiter called and made the job offer.
