I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (East Providence, RI) in Jul 2009
Interview
I originally applied online and was immediately given a ridiculous call simulation test. After passing this I was contacted via voice-mail by a recruiter who left a specific contact number and extension. Unfortunately what the recruiter failed to mention was that she was going on vacation that same week: after nearly two weeks of attempting to contact someone in her department, another recruiter called who briefly conducted a phone interview before scheduling a face to face with my future manager. I had explained to her numerous times that while I was interested, I had a current employer that I honestly wanted to give at least two week's notice. She advised me I would be able to and that the two week delay due to my assigned recruiter going on vacation would not affect this.
After the one on one, I was called the following day and offered the job. She then sent me to the Lincoln, RI facility for a finger printing and to provide copies of my ID documents in the morning, however, I later found out she had meant the East Providence center. ( I confirmed it was in Lincoln, twice, as it had originally sounded odd to me.) Upon arriving almost thirty minutes late, I was greeted by the original recruiter with less than a stellar attitude. After apologizing and explaining what had happened, she gave me a cold attitude and remarked that I "definitely wasn't told that."
By the time the hiring process was over, I literally had two days to notify my then, current, employer. I felt absolutely awful. (During training I later found out that this had happened to several others as well.)
Multiple interviews with varying managers. I interviewed at the Bank of America Corporate and met with two managers during the meeting. They both asked their own set of questions which made the interview more intense.
