I interviewed at Bank of America (Somerset, NJ) in May 2008
Interview
Initial phone interview with basic questions; was invited back for an interview. When I arrived at the interview, I was then informed that it would be a "group interview" which in my opinion are a bit impersonal. The group interview went well just a bit awkward at first but as time went by we all started to get more comfortable with it. They had us do some "role playing" (teller - customer) which was pretty simple but NOTHNG compared to the real deal. Yet again they can't teach you how to react to customer's attitudes either.
One thing that I did not like was when I met one on one with the HR person "assigned" to me. In my application and over the phone I was specific as to what location I wanted to work at and it was vital I work there (I lived on campus and did not have a car and public transportation was scarce) yet he was insisting I take a position at another location which would've been inconvenient to my schedule. However, I held my ground and got the position at the banking center of my choice.
I applied online. I interviewed at Bank of America (Wheaton, MD)
Interview
The first conversation was over the phone with the recruiter. Then they connected me with a branch manager for an in person interview. I had a third interview at another location an then got the job offer.
It was short. I did a phone interview and the. I did an in-person interview. It was short. Phone then in person. It was short. First phone, then in person.
The interview was very straightforward and simple, they didn’t ask too many unusual questions and the questions they did ask were easy to answer. The total time was less than an hour, and I was able to make another appointment by the end of the workday.
