The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America in Jun 2009
Interview
I'm in pursuit of the Personal Banker position with Bank of America--about three weeks into process....smooth so far..I have 20 years plus experience in mortgage refi sales/bill consolidation....with intentions of transferring those skills to to the PB position. After applying on line....I received a response within a couple days from a "Recruiting Coordinator" who sent me an assessment--yeah it was long...one hour and 15 minutes or more ....then gave em authorization for background check. Also, had about 40 minute phone interview with the "Recruiter"---She as very polite & sincere; yet grilled me with "situational" questions....about six questions...e.g....time that I went over & above job duty for cust....the Recruiter is now attempting to arrange a one-on-one interview with the Banking Center Manager(supposedly the "hiring Manager" in this case)....I'm pleased with the pace, professionalism, and sincerity so far!

Online application for this job I was not very prepared for it as it is not my main field but wanted to try to change careers and I thought it would be an opportunity to work on my communication skills
Very upfront with open ended questions. Had to do a mock phone call in front of the hiring manager and another representative. It was a little intimidating but I survived.
