      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America

      Interview

Friend was working at the bank. He forwarded my resume to manager of a group that was looking for a strong technical person. Had an hour long technical interview with another developer and manager. Once through this interview had an another interview with the senior manager. This interview was more around the project procurement, how the project was delivered -- all aspects of the software development life cycle.

      Question 1

Some questions around C programming. Hadn't done any C in 10 years, so I did not remember them.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Bank of America (Charlotte, NC) in Apr 2010

      Interview

Was contacted by an internal bank recruiter on a Monday. I had applied online for the position about 1 or 2 weeks earlier. She informed me that the position would entail working remotely. I live in Charlotte, NC, the hiring manager lived in Tampa, FL. There was one phone interview scheduled for a Wednesday afternoon. Also on this call was three other members of the team I would be working on. The interview lasted about an hour to an hour and a half. I basically was asked about my background. I was asked if I felt I could work as part of a remote team. I had to detail how I would handle certain problem, such as dealing with a manager who wanted me to perform a function I was not allowed to perform. I left the interview feeling encouraged, as I thought I had done a good job. I called the bank recruiter the next Friday to check the status and see if they needed any more information. I was told then that they were going to be submitting an offer to me later that afternoon.
