      Customer Service and Sales Interview

      Dec 22, 2010
      Anonymous employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (Phoenix, AZ) in Dec 2010

      Interview

First I was contacted by a recruiter who wanted to do a phone interview. She asked a lot of questions about my prior work history and why I wanted this position with Bank of America. She also asked a lot of behavioral *spell check* questions. I have noticed that the recruiters at BofA are all pretty pleasant. The recruiters at other companies (charles schwabb, wells fargo, ect) are kind of like talking to a brick wall. Anyway, I was in the process with bank of america for another position, and was already waiting on my EEV (education and employment verication) results to come back, and for the company to make their decision. So I told her I would definately be interested in this position in customer service had they hired someone else. Well, my EEV came back satisfactory. But they offered the position to an insider at b of a. BUMMER. Anyhoo, i called the recruiter and told her I was ready for the next step in the customer service position. She emailed the main recruiter and they sent me a few emails with assessment tests. They were about an hour long and tested you on your ability to solve problems. It was a call center type test. You had to answer pretend calls and handle each situation. It lasted about 45 minutes, and it was pretty easy if you have experience dealing with this type of work, otherwise it might be hard for someone. I got a phone call the next day letting me know I had passed and they wanted to set up the in person interview. So we scheduled that for the next day. I went to my in person interview and it lasted about 45 minutes. It went really well, and the next morning I received a call with an offer. YIPPIE! The next step was for my finger printing. I wasnt worried about this because I have never even had a speeding ticket before. I did that and I didnt hear anything else for a week so I was kind of anxious and gave my recruiter a call. She let me know I was satisfactory all the way across and that my offer still was in place. I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity because I know bank of america is a great company to work for. They pay for almost half of your day care, per child! I mean come on, what other company takes care of their employees like that? They have excellent benefits, and my schedule is 4 ten hour shifts, which i prefer. Im staying with b of a forever if I can!
