The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America in Mar 2009
Interview
Interviewed for assistant manager and got hired for that with the understanding of 90 days to see whether I would become a AM, but declined off at 90 days and stayed a Personal Banker.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Bank of America (Charlotte, NC) in Apr 2010
Interview
Completed a brief phone screen with a recruiter that consisted of a high-level resume overview. Then headed to Charlotte for an in-person interview which lasted about 2 hours total. I interviewed with one pair of team members, and then another pair. These happened back to back and each pair tackled different questions. They showed me a powerpoint detailing the role and asked about my personal and educational background and interests. After these two interviews, I sat with another team member at her desk and shadowed her for about 30 minutes. Following this, I was given a tour around the floor and shook a few hands, and then I was on my way. The interview questions weren't challenging, but the interview process was very well thought out and I was sincerely impressed. The interviewers listened to my answers and used them to improvise more questions that I had never been asked before... this was challenging but the since they were things I hadn't been asked before, but also refreshing to have a two-way, engaging conversation where I got to show more of myself than I thought. I usually leave interviews feeling like I haven't quite made my case or like I wanted to say one more thing about myself-- this interview was not like that it was pretty much the perfect level of question and answer and interaction. I was given an offer 5 days after the in-person interview.
