I applied for an internship and was asked to go through to the interview round through a personal email with their recruiter. When I said it wasn't possible for me to meet in person since I was on an exchange, I didn't even get an answer back. Not a "sorry we prefer this in person" or anything, just silence. Will not apply again now that I am graduating.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at BearingPoint in Aug 2023
Interview
Had a screening call with the HR person, who kept yawning from the start of the interview (super demoralizing) and then totally ghosted me for the next 4 weeks. I gave up all hope after 3 follow-up emails, but then he reached out asking if I would be available for face-to-face interviews the coming Friday. I responded yes, and then he did not reply with any details about the interview. Two days before the interview, he asked if the next Friday would work for me instead. I again responded yes, and then he again did not reply with any details (despite two follow-up emails) and then a day before the interview, emailed saying the interview would not take place. Very frustrating candidate experience, extremely unprofessional recruiter.
