I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Denver, CO)
Interview
They tend to only hire for Rep II s' from within. Make sure you know the stores quarterly results. Make sure your manager has something nice to say unless you moving out of state, because all best buy managers know each other.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Santa Maria, CA) in Mar 2008
Interview
Best Buy has you submit an application online. If you pass the the evaluation at the end of the application don't expect Best Buy to contact you. I had to call at least 5 times and ask multiple friends who work for Best Buy to talk to their managers. After I finally was contacted by Best Buy I was given a short over the phone interview asking about my experience and availability. Next I was asked to come in for a face-to-face interview. The interview consisted of a back to back interviews by a department supervisor and by a store manager. After my interview I was hired on the spot but I have heard of people being hired a week after their interview (especially seasonal employees.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They have you sell a product during the interview. Wasn't that difficult but definitely could be a stumbling block for some.
