I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Best Buy in May 2009
Interview
Assistant managers will run one or two in store interviews. Asked about how to approach customers, handle objections, best sales moments, values in what you see in people, how you would handle being involved with certain sales conditions or what you would say if you had a customer say such and such. The store GM will eventually get the last say so and review what you have interviewed so far and ask how you think you will contribute to the team and what you hope to get out of the experience.

Sales situations where a customer will object or disagree with what you are saying, and convert the customer into a sale
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Pflugerville, TX) in Mar 2011
Interview
The hiring and Interview process was very smooth. I applied online and then called into the store after 3 business days to make sure that they had received my application. A day or two after receiving confirmation that they had received my application I got a phone call from the supervisor of the position that I was applying for and was asked if I had time to do a phone interview. It was a basic interview asking about some previous work experience and why I wanted to work at Best Buy and seeing if I had any questions. At the conclusion of the interview another interview was set up with the manager who would be my manager upon getting the job. I had been into Best Buy before so I knew what to expect as far as appearance goes. The interview questions were very standard with questions such as: What previous experiences have you had that would make you a good employee at Best Buy? What would you do if situation XYZ occurred? At the conclusion of this interview a third interview was set up with the store manager. At the third interview the questions were mostly the same as at the previous interview and ended with receiving a job offer. After the interviews I was informed that orientation would be on a certain date at a certain time. When I informed them that I would not be able to make it on that date at that time they scheduled a separate time when I could come in and go through orientation. After the interview I was directed to go to a certain clinic within 48 hours to get a drug test. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Question 1
The most difficult question for me is not very unexpected and I get it in every interview: What can you tell me about yourself?
