Interview
Getting in the door: 3 stage interview process. Apply online, the employment survey is the first interview. If you do not pass this stage, you will not be contacted. Second interview, supervisor of the department you applied for. This interview is to see if you would be a good fit and understand your product knowledge level. Third interview is with the GM, to determine if you are trustworthy and this is the final say.
Moving up: Every employee who applies for a new position is given an interview. Whether or not you get the position, you will receive a phone call reviewing good and bad things about the interview.

Some locations have one interviewer, others have a panel. Some ask ice breaker questions like "Name your favorite animal, then make it's sound." These test your confidence and willingness to be a part of the group.

Interview
I applied online. After a couple of weeks, One of their staff called me for a telephone interview. Just the standard questions ( Why do you want to work for Best Buy, What is it about technology that you love,etc.). Then, they set me up with the second interview, which it with one of the Department Managers. A lot of questions about your customer service skills will be asked. After acing that, they told me that if they needed me, they would call me for the final interview with the GM. Long behold, tommorow morning, I got a call from the Store asking to schedule me for the GM interview. After talking with the GM, I got a offer on the spot, provided I drug screen within 2 days. 1 week later, they called me to start orientation.
