The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy in Mar 2010
Interview
I applied online and a few days later I received a phone call asking me to come for an interview. I must note that I had applied to Best Buy several times before getting an interview so timing is everything! when they called they explained where it would be and that it was a panel interview. This "panel" interview was with about 10 different applicants, 5 or 6 of which got offers. the first part was your typical interview questions just in front of a "board" of managers, and your fellow applicants. I think the most interesting part was the "presentation" that was required in groups. Basically acting in a sales simulation, I guess for them to see how you work. If I could give advice, take it serious but be yourself.

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Best Buy (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2010
Interview
I first applied for a job with Best Buy in August 2010. I went in every other day to speak with someone about getting an interview. Finally, about two weeks after I applied I got to speak with the person who does the phone interviews. After that initial interview I waited another two weeks for my second interview. After the second interview I had three more. Everyone was very nice and told me exactly what to expect as far as a timeline for hiring went so I knew from the first interview that it would take a while to actually get hired.
The first interview was easy; she asked very basic questions. The second interview typically is between the person wanting to be hired and the person who would be his or her supervisor (I had three of these). The last interview is typically between the person wanting to be hired and the General Manager of the store.

Interview
Fairly Straightforward Process. Hardest part is getting the call back after applying. Once you get the interview you are pretty much set as long as you provide the right answers.
2 or 3 interviews. Cant quite remember since it was a while ago.
1 with area manager in the store
1 with store manager
BIggest emphasis should be on loss prevention. Regardless if its the tinyest thing, say it stealing and terms for termination.
