Interview
Applied online through Bestbuy.com website. Application was standard: Personal info, education, skills, references, etc. There was a small personality test after filling out the application. Within 3 days I recieved a phone call and scheduled an interview for the following week. First interview consisted of meeting with an assistant manager and was followed with a meeting of the GM 3 days later. Meetings with both managers consisted of questions about certain skills relating to technological background and also communication skills. What managers look for in a sales specialist are: cool temperament (not easily angered), friendly personality, very team oriented, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Interview
You apply online, get a call, go into a room where the interview asks you questions pertaining to the position you are applying for. The general idea is to make sure that if you are working on the floor, you are not too shy or retarded to talk to people. Questions have little to do with technical knowledge, but the applicants who possess it are obviously favored.

Interview
I applied online and was surprised that I was called back the same day to schedule an interview. I went in knowing not much about Best Buy except that they were a big-box electronics retailer. I went in with an open mind and my usual set of interview skills and the interview proceeded as a normal interview would.
I was asked the usual set of questions about how I would would deal with sepcific situations with customers and how I dealt with commong situtations in the past. overall a pretty generic interview.
