I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Sep 2012
Interview
I applied online through the website and was contacted almost immediately for a phone interview. Next I researched the interview process on Glassdoor- All of the questions listed by reviewers were asked. I was completely prepared but I didn't receive a call at the scheduled time. I ended up calling Global Customer Support and explaining that my interviewee hadn't contacted me. I was then interviewed on the spot, and I thought it went very, very well- especially for the fault on their end. I could not have been more prepared and I got along great with the new interviewee who seemed very impressed by my answers and the questions I asked. About a day later I received a "we regret to inform you" email. I have no idea what went wrong.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg
Interview
I received an email from Bloomberg only one day after applying online in order to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview consisted of easy questions about my background along with some simple situational prompts - how would you deal with a hostile client? A few days later, I was invited into the NYC office and sat down for a 2-1 interview. The questions were very similar to the phone interviewer's and I thought it went very well. About a week later, I got a rejection email with little explanation.

Interview
Applied through the website (Bloomberg.com/careers). Received a response via email a day later to schedule a phone interview. I suppose it was a pretty standard interview, but you must be on point. Any sign of insecurity will hurt your chances. Know yourself 150%, and sell yourself very carefully.
