I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Nov 2012
Interview
The hiring process appears to be quite straight forward. Online application form has a tight limit on words. I was contacted for a phone interview 2 days later. The initial phone screening is competency based and included a question on how a non-financial company could use the terminal.
The first in-house interview, after shadowing, was similar to the phone interview. Important is to be prepared to outline why you want to work there and what the job entitles. They will go through your CV and ask you, again, to convince them why it is the job you want.
I have the final interview scheduled soon.
I applied online. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Jan 2013
Interview
I applied online, was contacted by HR, and had a phone interview several days earlier. It was a very basic interview - i.e. "tell me about your resume, why sales, why Bloomberg." There was not much more to it than that. I was asked to come in for an in-person interview, but declined as I was interviewing elsewhere, and was not very interested in the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There really weren't any difficult/unexpected questions. Just be able to explain why/how you may be successful in sales, and how this position fits into your career aspirations.

Interview
I just did the phone interview. I'll attend the second round next week. The phone interview was mainly focused on Bloomberg and Analytics position. So what did i know about bloomberg, about the position and why i have applied. then i had to sum up a recent finance article and finally some finance questions, like options and what is volatility.
