I applied online. I interviewed at British Airways (Heathrow, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
Application, tests, telephone interview?face to face. It told be much about the company and I declined their offer. The people were like robots and really had chips on their shoulders. Wouldn't want to work there at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard "tell is about a time.." questions. Very dry.
After having my assessment day I am very disappointed in the day. A lot of waiting around and the role plays and group exercises are dragged out. Personally they should do 1 to 1 interviews first so they actually get to know the people there first.People who didn’t even follow the instructions of “smart business wear” got through girls with their hair down, messy pony tails and wearing flat shoes. Obviously the company don’t care about how their staff represent themselves so if you have an assessment day coming up don’t even bother going out to buy new heels or shirt and skirt. Absolute waste of a day.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at British Airways in May 2016
Interview
I had a three stage interview process:
To start off with I was taken into a room to do a role play- a passenger had missed their flight and they were not happy.
Then, a group discussion- it doesn’t matter what conclusion you come to as long as you’ve spoken up for yourself and worked together with others in your group (don’t talk over people but don’t be too quiet).
At this point we were split into two groups- those who were through to the interview and those that hadn’t made it.
I had my interview with two women who asked me:
Give an example of a time when you’ve had to deal with a angry customer and how you managed.
What safety procedures would I have to adhere to as a British’s Airways staff member.
What does it mean to work for BA.
Why do you want to work for BA.
(Take your time, even ask if you can have a few moments to think about the question. Do not rush.)
