I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at British Airways in Jan 2018
Interview
Very formal. Had two team members literally read questions off a script. Lack of personality and spontaneity. Was in building for three hours. Took half a day off work. Was told I would hear back in a week and 3 weeks later I got an automated rejection with no feedback. Totally impersonal and old fashioned organisation and no appreciation for the time people take. Archaic even in questioning style. I know interview went really well and later found out they were making me wait because they wanted a less experienced candidate who was known to the team already to take the role. Arrogant company that can’t protect customers data or update its image. Even if I had an offer I would have rejected it. Weird head office. Grey and everyone is the same.
I applied online. I interviewed at British Airways (Crawley, West Sussex, South East England, England) in Sep 2018
Interview
Very professional process, all handled by the recruitment team at BA rather than the management of the position itself. This is clearly more efficient for BA but it meant that I felt quite removed from what the role was going to involve until I got to the interview - I called ahead of the interview asking if I could speak to the team to understand the role a bit more but the recruitment team refused. I was also given no feedback after the interview, and all communication was done by email which felt very impersonal.
