British Council interview questions

Interview was very structured and followed mostly STAR (situation, target, action and result) format. Past work experience with lots of examples should be given. The format was emailed earlier and preparation was done accordingly. Interview lasted for around 45 minutes.

Its competency based. Detailed definitions of all competencies are made available with job adverts and should be referred to throughout application and interview process. Each competency is defined at various levels with positive and negative indicators. Standard stuff for UK public / not-for-profit sectors but might be a surprise for those with a different background.
