I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Citi (London, England) in Oct 2017
Interview
Submitted online application and did a numerical test (can very easily fail if you're not familiar with that type of questions, but not hard). Was invited for phone interview.
1st round telephone: 2x30 mins, I was told in email that they were CV based with competency and technical questions. On the day I was told by interviewer that it was 1 technical and 1 competency. Invited for AC after a week.
2nd round AC: Interviews started at 8. There were 7 people in my group.
1) Case study with 50 mins preparation time. Paper was given to make posters for presentation. Was about choosing stocks, but only relies on general knowledge.
2) Numerical test verification, 8 minutes, 6 questions. If you fail the first one they'll ask you to do one twice as long.
3) 3 interviews, in which 1 is the case study presentation. The other 2 for me are all competency, but depending on your background, you will be asked to do some technical questions. Usually people studying finance or economics get actual technical ones, whereas I was only asked to do some maths. Do check your email since they say whether your interview is technical or not, people in the same AC received different emails.
4) A group exercise with 30 minutes time limit, 10 for preparation, 20 for discussion. Was about choosing project. No need to prepare.
All interviewers were extremely friendly to everyone. So it was hard to tell whether they were satisfied or not. Received offer the next week.

Interview
the interview process was unfair, the people who interviewed were not from teams you applied to - and thus not able to fully express ur interest in what you applied to
just asked lots of questions about the markets + my understanding of it. very nice people overall! also some basic behavioral questions. technical questions were just related to economics + markets
