I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Citi (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2025
Interview
I applied via their company website for the position. First, there was a technical test which comprised of Java basics and algorithms. After that, I got an interview invite. They started with Basic Java question like difference between JRE and JVM. then, asked about spring, spring boot, microservices, Kafka, etc. The interview lasted for around 30 min. Never got a feedback, but after 2 months, just received automated mail from workday regarding application closure.

Interview
The company I heard is really great, but their interview process is long and if you're unlucky, you get a really bad interviewer. With my experience, the interviewer that I had was absolutely unprofessional. She asked me "Tell me about yourself" and when I started to explain my background, she got upset and said "I said I need your name and only your name." The interview continued and she was more focused on proving that she knows more then the candidate. Anytime a question came up, If I answered incorrectly, instead of only being told you're incorrect, she forced me to say I was wrong and she was right. When I say forced, she literally said "So who's right me or you". During the coding portion of the interview, I wrote the program correctly. However when I finished, I was talking about how to make the program better, and she said "well you should of done that". The final kicker was when the interview was towards the end, she just said "Thank you" and hung up. I asked people that worked at Citi, and they said that she was only focused on climbing the ranks, which required her to interview people. She had no intention on finding a good candidate. I have other interviews with the company and hope that it's not the same experience. My advice to the company is really consider who's interviewing the candidates.
